The featured GUI today is Rhapsody Release 2. This is basically OpenStep with a Mac GUI. It’s amazing looking at this how far backwards GUI design has gone. I can instantly identify everything in every window in the screenshots that I can interact with. This is not the case on any modern GUI.
Sadly Wichiary hasn’t updated it in years. This, along with Lineback’s GUI pages, gave me a perhaps unfortunate fascination with UX/UI and systems I haven’t heard of.

I just find it very beautiful to look at. Every element has an exactness you find in few other systems.

Interesting that the about box for this version of TextEdit notes it’s written in Java.
