I’m so glad you’ve posted this. I stumbled across it earlier and wanted to share it, but was unable to as I’m a new user.

I think this is a really novel way to introduce newer and intermediate programmers to the concept of building an application by consuming APIs. I’ve spent a bit of time poking around the project and it looks to be quite expansive and robust, and there is an active community surrounding it. I think using this as the basis of a programming course in a class-based setting would be very interesting.

Does anyone know who runs this and why? Is it a promotion for some company that makes middleware? Or something? :)

Seems awesome and I look forward to digging in.

Can we have video games without Discord? :\ It seems the broader community is fully saturated as well as that Discord mentality leaking into FOSS as kids grow up in its sphere as the singular communication tool.

Will this replace TodoMVC as the de facto example application??

It is reminiscent of the defunct Stockfighter. In other words… very nice, thanks for sharing this!

Reminds me, in spirit, of how Dave Braben (and/or Ian Bell) released the Elite trading code as a text-only thing such that you could try to maximize your money solely by writing moves in text files.

EDIT: It was Ian Bell and the code is at http://www.elitehomepage.org/text/index.htm

Does anyone know why this is coming up now? It seems to be at least two years old (although it is new to me).
