I wrote this, as I never felt comfortable having Google Apps on my phone, but was feeling the lack of a translator quite a bit.

I would like to dig deeper into this area and also work on image to text translation (OCR, not image analysis), but that looks so much harder to execute, even disregarding the compute capabilities of phones.

Please tell me if you know of any models that can perform text extraction from images! I have a few on my backlog, but I’m not sure about the ecosystem
