It’s very easy to play with viscm. Just do the following:
$ pip install viscm $ python -m viscm edit
Takes a few minutes of messing around with the sliders and spline settings to get a hang of it, but after that it’s pretty intuitive.
It’s a pity it got so rushed because this is important information. Seems most colour defaults were a matter of taste rather than what was useful for most people. (Full disclosure: I am colourblind).
