The Oxide & Friends podcast recently held a discussion about data visualization tools. I’m curious what tools people on this site use and recommend.

I had never used gnuplot before listening to this episode, but having now tried it I quite like it and am looking forward to experimenting with it more. These days, I almost exclusively use matplotlib in a Jupyter notebook, though I can’t say I’m very satisfied with it (I find the API not very intuitive and a bit confusing, though I’ll readily admit that this might be a “me” problem).
