This looks really nice to me! I always liked the look of the mono graphics and windowed UIs over the 8/16-bit console graphics. I wonder if the CGA or VGA palettes would make a “comeback,” or even 256-colour low-poly smudgy 3D of the 90s.

On a tangent, anybody else pick up on the subtle racial bias in Rogue Invader?
I think this is far more than racial, but more a long-lasting cultural thing, with white seen as light and good and black as dark and evil.
Which probably comes from the observation that dangers in dark environments are harder to detect that in bright environments.
