Not really, just bugs stemming from lack of manpower and frenetic modernization. It took me a year to get used to doing things the systemd way, 3+ years to get really comfortable around SELinux and I wager it will take a while to get used to polkit and udisks2 as well.

I’d love to use whatever Linux he was using, as I’ve never been comfortable saying that.
Sounds like distribution problems to me.
