You don’t need to inject scripts/styles from a privileged extension to do this in Firefox.
Go to about:preferences and scroll to the “Colors” section. Select “Manage Colors”. Then pick your favorite palette and set the override preference to “Always”.
Well, it taught me how to set the Firefox color theme when my compositor doesn’t do it for me.
Unfortunately it’s another fingerprintable value to set it

And most websites ignore it, so I need to use Dark Reader anyway, at which point it doesn’t have that much value.
