This article discusses the problem of password strength (from a security point of view) with a focus on master passwords for password managers.

The gist of it is:

• (1) choose a password scheme that suits you;
• (2) choose a desired strength (bits of entropy); (at the end of the article it gives some values depending on how “VIP” one is;)
• (3) let the computer choose the password for you;
