People at Apple say they take into account the number of duplicate bug reports for a given issue when deciding on priorities. This kind of article could help encourage other developers to file bugs about the same issues.
Aside from that, I doubt that there’s any impact from it being public. Presumably Tumblr has an Apple Developer Program contact and used a paid support incident for some of these issues, if not all. They should be able to afford it.
Does this kind of article actually shame Apple into doing anything? After all, the bug reports have been filed already.
