    For me, this article falls below a quality threshold I didn’t even know I had. What do I do here? I can flag it but I don’t see a reason. I know we don’t do downvotes here, but I really think we need some way to apply back pressure to articles that aren’t very good.

        Of course the biggest flag is that it’s from Hackernoon…

          I’m not sure it’s sensible to compare NPM repository size vs Maven central, because:

          • In NPM repo, there are libraries which are literally few lines long, like the well-known left-pad library. There are no such small libraries in Java,
          • Maven Central isn’t the only repository for Java packages. There are also Bintray’s JCenter, jitpack.io, also others.
