I thought this was a really excellent talk. Studying C++ for only a single semester in school really made me hate how bloated the language felt. Listening to this talk helped to put all the design choices of C++ into perspective. I now have a better idea of where these features originated from, as well as the reasoning for including them in the language. I’m also excited about the features introduced in C++11.
Overall, a phenomenal way to procrastinate finishing a C++ assignment…
