Even though I feel like I’ve gotten my arms around Nix, I learned a few things that I hadn’t noticed or absorbed. Should probably find time to go back and read the rest.
This is my first encounter with this series, so it seems appropriate to note:
I didn’t expect it, but this reminded me of “reaction” videos on YouTube. In a vacuum, this would clearly be an insult–many of these videos are ridiculous, navel-gazing hyperbole–but I find the basic concept of doing this with any technical documentation endearing.
Efforts to improve technical documentation are often limited by the lack of shared context, knowledge, and terminology between the people writing the docs and those trying to learn from them.
