I find Libreboot to be easier than Coreboot. It’s not exactly a fork so much as a distribution… Coreboot is eternally on the “current” branch, whereas Libreboot takes a periodic snapshot, cleans it up, and filters out the nonfree blobs. Libreboot also presents fewer customization options. It’s more one-size-fits-all.
