One of the things I really liked was how quickly the tests were brought in. I really like the idea of Test Driven Exploration, it really gets you comfortable with testing framework and code.
If anyone is interested in a book to help them learn elixir, I highly recommend Elixir in Action. It moves quickly but still describes important underlying Erlang design ideas. Also I’ve seen it (and other Elixir books) on sale on a consistent basis (check @ManningBooks).
