I’m not even sure it’s just a trend in journalism.
Seems like Hype-driven decision-making is being exploited on developers too.
It’s very sad to see seasoned software developers claiming the benefits of the last JavaScript framework from Facebook/Google/what else… just to discover (a few years later) that their interests do not align with those of such large corporate.
Even worse when this happens with development practices.
This can be generalized to “modern click-hunting journalism is flawed”.
There are sites that publish long-term reviews.
