I’m running Pale Moon 27.6.2 on Linux. Seems to happen only with the comment reply boxes that pop up when you click “reply” on someone’s comment.

    Tried a session without addons/extensions?

    firefox --profilemanager
    seamonkey --profilemanager
    chromium --user-data-dir=/tmp/moo

EDIT: I feel really daft for not adding palemoon :D

N.B. I’m not having this issue (Seamonkey)

disabling addons/extensions fixed things. my only addons are ublock origin and noscript (with lobste.rs allowed). perhaps the cleanest way to solve this would be an html-only interface to lobste.rs?

it’s also amusing that it suddenly stopped happening as i was typing this comment, haha.

Can confirm I have the same issue in Firefox with ublock. Must be ublock then?!

That’s a very strange bug. I also use ublock origin and haven’t seen anything like that. Offhand, I don’t think anything in the comment reply code has changed in at least a few months. If you can nail down repro steps, please open an issue.

It really messes with my ability to type long comments on mobilesafari on my phone.

Some refocus event? It always scrolls the page to the same place. With the comment box perfectly positioned under the keyboard.

I have trouble with lobste.rs in portrait mode on iOS. Can never seem to touch and hold the comments link, in order to open the comments in a new tab.

I’ve seen similar on my iPhone, in circumstances where the parent comment (the one Im replying to) is linked in the #hash of the URL bar.

This results in the parent comment being highlighted in a subtle off-white background and constantly scrolling up to keep it in focus.

I have had this on iOS, similar to others.
