ie. Intel has been making Arm’s for a while now.
As part of that deal it also got the Nios2 softcore family as well.
Intel made XScales for years after Compaq bought Digital. There are ARC and SPARC cores in the ME. I presume there are ARM cores hiding elsewhere in the system.
