    Can the two people voting “off-topic” please explain? I don’t see how this analysis of a law which may dramatically affect the entire user-facing tech industry could possibly be off-topic.

      An effective ban on end-to-end encryption. Complete with:

      • allowing searches before warrants are signed
      • legally compelling judges to sign warrants
      • clauses targeting data at rest, data in transit, and protocols such as DOH and HTTPS
      • giving the AG power to compel backdoors on-demand, and requiring the largest providers to build them by default
