I’m not too big on terminology, but renaissance would mean something coming back (after being dead) and I’m not sure that is the case with DevOps. Evolution, improvement … sure, but devops wasn’t dead.
And then the article paints a picture of Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform as if they were the only valid combo to do the “ops” part in “devops”. I guess it is a popular one, but I wouldn’t agree that it’s the only way. Nomad, even Swarm are around. And what about just systemd units (with or without nspawn) if your needs are smaller? What if you don’t have a whole team to babysit a cluster and your ingress needs are covered by nginx + letsencrypt?
