Seems like “maturity” or some similar word would be better than “hierarchy” (which this isn’t). But yeah, this is why I prefer heavily-annotated example code vs. a list of methods/functions (“tier 0”, which I don’t really find useful at all, but is often auto-generated, so takes no real effort).
