Love it. Interesting to see multiple references to its “16-bit” nature. I feel like that’s one of the earliest times I’ve seen “bitness” used in marketing.
But, they were right: the 9900 and its derivatives are truly 16-bit. Not that the Tomy OS takes much advantage of it.

Probably something different about how the keyboard lines are detected. The two systems are not precisely the same internally and some of the glue logic differs quite a bit.
