@jcs always has a really nice desktop in these articles (I’m guessing cwm), has he described it anywhere in more detail?
There was a thread where he posted a screenshot years ago, using Ratpoison. Since then I believe he’s started using Sdorfehs1, which is his own fork with gaps, multiple virtual desktops and some other stuff. Also looks like his dots are on github2.
