It might sound impossible, but the math seems to check out. And, for 30 minutes of work, it beats FLAC’s compression by 10%. Not that it works for every type of audio (this was only tried on isolated signals) but it’s interesting. Perhaps it could be applied/refined further? Music catalogs do take up a large amount of space.
