    The article doesn’t answer the question that the title brings up: why were there no new releases between 2003 and 2015, and what changed in 2015 to make that the right time for a new update? Did it take the community 12 years to think of changes uncontroversial enough that a majority of users would like them? Or was there internal conflict among the developers?
