70FPS in a 3D game impresses me, even if it’s just a quake-3 like elderly game. My previous ARM laptop (ARM ‘Snow’ chromebook) had software rendering to an (Xorg terminology) framebuffer (turboFB?).
It’s 2D performance (eg filling rectangles) was slower than filling the rectangles yourself in your own software and then throwing your buffer at the screen. It could do 720p youtube decode somewhat OK with a bit a of tearing, but only if you disabled scaling.
