      Could you please explain a bit more? I’ve read the OP and I went through the presentation in your link, and the message I get from you is, “Python is slow because its implementation isn’t as efficient as it could be.”

      I think the real meat of the OP is that it walks you through the representation of internal data structures in Python and explains why it can make code slower. It even goes on to contrast this representation with NumPy arrays, which shows one approach of speeding things up. This is valuable information IMO.

      Your link seems like it’s targeted at compiler writers. Make the implementation faster. The OP seems like its targeted at users of Python. Do the best with what you have.

      But without more detail from you, I really don’t know what you mean by “article wrong.”
