Oh wow, this sounds like my favorite parts of her last book on queueing theory, which I read in a reading group earlier this year. We are now going through Modeling and Simulation in Python to double down on the most practically-applicable parts of that book (first reading group meeting tomorrow!) but maybe this book could be mixed in.

From peeking at the contents, much like her last book it is extremely math heavy. Like multiple contiguous pages of equations to derive this or that identity.
