          Hopefully we’d use the term “repetitive code” or “templated code” or something, to explain what we’re actually talking about to people who otherwise might not know. It’s like naming theorems after people - super cool, except you have no idea that Amdahl’s Law is about performance optimisation (and so would better be named the “performance improvement ratio law” (PARL for short ;) or the “overall speedup rule”).
