      If I’m to believe this article (and this one, and others I don’t have handy, and all idle talk I hear from those working in cryptography), we shouldn’t be taking PGP seriously, and that encrypting email as it currently exists is a lost cause.

      The posted article ending with

      Although applications of OpenPGP have extended beyond email messaging, the staying power of the standard remains connected to its roots. As long as SMTP survives, it seems that OpenPGP will have a role to play.

      seems to ignore everything about the valid criticisms against it.

        As much as I fancy Delta.Chat the issues with autocrypt are too abundant to ignore, at least according to my reading of the situation.

      Pretty-Good-Privacy name sounds like a joke in a world where people are being killed by drones based on meta-data alone.
