Apparently Debian has caught on that locking themselves into systemd might not be the best idea.
I want this to happen, but ultimately the fight against systemd is a losing battle. There are too many nice features to ask people not to depend on, and too much support for systemd in the industry.
Our only hope is the systemd project accepting more input from the greater community. That’s not going to happen because they look at the greater community and see a bunch of people who hate them, so they are going to ignore all that shit and tread on.
