I love the idea! There are so many of those systems out there and I’d love to try them all but time is and will always be a constraint. Btw, I already wrote a network driver for Haiku, which was still called BeOS back then. But apart from that I forgot what card I wrote it for, it’s probably long been replaced by something much better by now.
