The incoming links thing reminds me of everything2, where the bottom of each node included the incoming links, ordered by how often they’d been traversed.

Heh, I succumbed to the temptation as well: https://merveilles.town/@akkartik/107778241367837041

It was also inspired by Zek: https://merveilles.town/web/statuses/107742821323590471

Thanks for sharing this. As a side note to your post, I really liked that Zek video by Barski.

To whoever might be interested, here’s the implementation I came up with for this spec: https://git.sr.ht/~subsetpark/erasmus

This is also my first Zig program ever, so apologies for any lousy code!

I will try one more time to share my take on solving this problem:

              https://lobste.rs/search?q=datalisp&what=stories&order=newest

Note that the newer pdf is the useful one and that it is already obsolete to a certain extent (but only very slightly, I just have a clearer idea of the structure of the name system).

Again, sorry for the presentation being kinda crap. I have a telegram channel @datalisp, again, sorry that I haven’t bridged it into matrix/irc yet, I will soon. I also hang out in #whereiseveryone on libera.

Basically I think we need a data interchange format to manage the snippets so we can all work together on the notes (i.e. just the next generation internet).

Here are my repos, there is not much to see but I am making steps towards the things described:

              • cxp :: modern take on a line editor.
              • tala :: the idea here is to make a “main menu” for linux (or more like reference implementation), but there is nothing worthwhile here right now.
