This is such a cool article. I have to admit I didn’t realize that BCPL was a thing on the Alto. I’d only ever heard of it in the context of the Amiga and AmigaDOS from when MetacomCo ran the project before C= took over and rewrote everything in C.
What an awesome article, really gives me some ideas about what to do with the DEC-PRO I picked up a couple of months ago.
Does anyone know of articles that go into writing microcode for the Alto?
