    As far as I can tell - and to be fair I read the first paragraph or two only and then skimmed to the end of the article, so please let me know if I’m wrong - this piece is just about implementing a selection box on mobile and how HTML/CSS/JS make that annoying. But to make that point it ties things in with an oppressive surveillance state that tortures, kidnaps and murders its own citizens, trivializes that behavior, and then concludes with this gem of a final paragraph:

    And it works! You’re finally done. You feel proud of your work, knowing your family will live at least another couple months.

    There’s also a joke thrown in the middle about “who will take care of your kids?”

    To say this is extremely distasteful is a massive, massive understatement.
