The Amiga had a program called “Shapeshifter” that let it run Mac applications at more-or-less fully speeds, since both systems ran on M68k processors.

Legend has it that, for a very brief period, the fastest Mac in the world was an Amiga 4000 with a 68060 accelerator card running Shapeshifter, since Apple never released a 68060 Mac (after the 68040, they skipped the 68060 and migrated to PowerPC).
