Nice setup! The window not being in the center of the wall frustrates me though :D

I guess we’re gonna see a new “Lobsters Battlestations and Screenshots” thread soon! (2024 edition)

I was curious (again) to see 2016 missing from the battlestations list, although it seems we just didn’t ask that year. Closest I can find in search for tag:ask clicking through to 2016 stories (roughly pages 88-97) is either What desktop environment and window manager do you use? or What does your development environment look like? How might it change?, although only the first story has screenshots linked in the comments and not very many. Not sure either fit the criteria so I guess we have a hole in the streak.

Thank You - yes - I also needed to get used to that :)

I plan to get it up on Monday. I try to get the battlestations thread going on Mondays so people can add their workstations throughout the work-week :D

What chair is that? I need a new chair.

Wall to wall surface is the dream

Only half of that is ‘for me’ … so living half a dream here :)

How do you adjust for keyboard height or working standing? I have found that an electronically adjustable standing desk is indispensable for moving between different positions and microtuning so that my wrists are straight, etc.

It’s an investment I made a few decades too late, along with a very good ergonomic keyboard.

The only thing adjustable here is the chair.

I can use either lower keyboard tray or just just the ‘upper’ work ‘table’.

I tried - but I am not a fan of ‘standing’ desks.
