      Not sure I get why Tailscale goes from Free Source yes in the first table to not being FOSS in the second table. Should be no in both, or at least a partial yes in the first one?

      Also not sure what “available in Debian” means - guessing it’s “available to apt-get from Debian source out the box”. Tailscale (and I suspect others) install just fine on Debian by pulling in a second apt repo source.

        I also use tinc to interconnect several private networks. It works robust and reliable. I highly recommend it.

          Haven’t checked it in a few years but 4 years ago it looked a bit light on the crypto side compared to recommendations for OpenSSL for instance so. (Not a cryptographer though, I’d love to be proven wrong. I just prefer being careful when dealing with that kind of stuff)
