I don’t have any specific feelings about the features in 1.7 (I’m sure they’re nice, I just haven’t looked closely), but I’m really glad the project has active maintainers and developers. It’s become such a core piece of my workflow and I’d be pretty sad it was (very useful) abandonware.
Cosign. It seems from all the pull requests like the people involved in getting this release out the door are working well together and I was glad that they were able to work with the original author to pass the mantle. jq is an indispensable tool and I’m glad its future now looks bright.

Pretty buzzed about being able to change the field colour. That’s been a long-standing QOL-improvement-in-waiting. Nice.
