    Another problem with NIFs in Erlang is that they will also cause problems when they run longer than roughly 1 ms (documentation). Generally the way to go is a node that acts like an erlang node and communicates with the other real nodes. But that also has its own share of problems, but it’s something to keep in mind when the NIF doesn’t quite cut it.

    Anyways, I still really like that there is at least the option to use Rust instead of C when working with Erlang!
