I’m pretty suspicious of anybody whose justification is literally “It’s completely off base for highly technical reasons.”.
Anyways, we don’t need to clutter up this place with the inevitable back-and-forth of Bitcoin drama.
whose justification is literally “It’s completely off base for highly technical reasons.”.
Not “literally” all he said. He responded to Hearn on Segregated Witness, and he gave an accurate explanation for why many folks have a misperception as to how big the dissenting group is.
Might be worth noting that Cohen is the creator of BitTorrent. He’s an expert who understands decentralized systems. He’s been doing a lot of research in blockchain tech lately and he has a very good grasp of the area.

Point-by-Point Response To Mike Hearn’s Final Bitcoin Post
I also want to avoid the drama here, but at least this has some technical details from a reputable source.
Technical sources are nice, yet useless to non-technical people. What they see is expensive transactions and hear about devs disagreeing in the form of death threats and ddosing.
Which still does not chip away at the Chinese mining operations.
Good thing we got two sides here, now we can wait for this to unfold.
