    It’s definitely worth watching the entire Hyperbolica dev log series … at least, if you have any interest in non-Euclidean geometry and graphics, but who doesnt, amirite?

    Hyperbolic space is WEIRD. Back n my laser-cutting days I was trying to figure out the math to generate something like Escher’s “Circle Limit” series — I had the idea of a hyperbolic game board with lots of lines of movement, and where a piece couldn’t move to a “square” that was too small to fit it — but I could never get my head around mapping the tessellation to Euclidean x/y cords.
