I believe that Clojure shows a way forward and out of this mess. By making simplicity (not just cleverness, flexibility, or performance) the #1 goal, you get useful artifacts instead of one offs.
I believe this is a good goal for BBM’s (to use the article’s term) in general, and explains why for many projects Lisp is not the right choice no matter how much you love it.
