I wonder if we just need new laws to prevent abuse by AI companies rather than trying to stretch copyright to fit. I don’t really see a future where generative AI makes the world a better place and would personally prefer to see it regulated away.
That doesn’t seem likely due to the power dynamic, though. Somebody would have to start stealing work from mega-corporations via AI first and face some heavy consequences.
