I think this might be reddit’s shark-jumping moment. Cryptocurrency people are excited about this because ADOPTION!!!11 but reddit already has issues with the quality of stuff on there. People aim to get as many upvotes as possible by posting low-quality, inflammatory, or generally-agreeable comments. Giving people the ability to cash that out will just make this problem much worse.
reddit went Fonzie on waterskis like 8 years ago. This is the Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus moment. It’s stupid, and not in any way good, but it has Debbie Gibson and Lorenzo Lamas, and you might be able to derive some unintended humor from watching it.
