Product Chart is meanwhile used quite a bit by new users who get into 3D Printing. To inform new users about the type of specs we research and publish, we just made a page with a bit of information about each parameter:

Did we get those right? The specs are loosely ordered by their importance.

I just helped with a project at my local library building a fully open source Delta 3D printer from of the shelf parts! Was a really fun experience!

The descriptions for “material diameter” and “nozzle diameter” seem pretty obvious. It would be helpful to explain what difference these make in the performance or operation and maintenance of the printer.

They seem to impact feed rate mostly. Larger diameter nozzle can output more plastic faster, allowing for faster printing. Larger material diameter means you can have a slower feed rate while extruding the same amount of material.
