        In July 2017, security firm Dr. Web reported that its researchers had found Triada built into the firmware of several Android devices, including the Leagoo M5 Plus, Leagoo M8, Nomu S10, and Nomu S20.

        Clickbaity title aside, if you have physical access to the manufacturing or firmware programming stages of any device, the end user is in no position to stop you from ruining their day. This might be less difficult to accomplish with a manufacturer like Leagoo, but not impossible with what we consider more “reputable” manufacturers like Apple or Samsung. But the name of the game with technology these days is hoping that manufacturers aren’t selling you out. Not a happy place to be.
