I lived through the nineties, so it seems unlikely that my MSFT skepticism will dissipate any time soon – but I have to admit it’s refreshing to see a large and successful company that is, at least in some areas, not consumed by the kind of NIH or licensing confusion that coarses through some other software efforts.
It’s undeniably odd, but assuredly neat, to see DTrace make its way into Windows!

This is cool! But I’m truly at a loss for wrapping my brain around Microsoft adopting open source Unix tooling for low level debugging.
