Just finished listening to this yesterday. I was going to say this was my favorite piece of post-xz programmer fiction, but then I saw it was actually written in 2009.
I love this kind of fiction that’s not afraid to alienate non-programmers by getting into the weeds instead of handwaving things or worse, making up technobabble.

I did make some changes to it, but mainly just changing some details so it seemed more like the 2020s and not the 2000s.
