I’m not associated with any of these organizations. I’m curious to see what others think. In response to Red Hat’s antics with RHEL - CIQ, Oracle, and SUSE decided to team up and create Open Enterprise Linux Association (OpenELA) to manage the new Enterprise Linux distro.
They’re discussing licensing on Slack right now. Repo is coming in 1-2 weeks.
Do you think it will benefit the Linux community? It sounds good on paper, but Oracle is involved.
